Today I want to share a few of my
favorite secrets to healthy, shiny,
beautiful, strong hair.
With so many options on the market, how do you know which hair products to use?

It’s a question I get all the time.

My answer, I make my own!

Using natural beauty products with essential oils is quickly becoming a hot new trend. For centuries, people have used essential oils for medicinal and cosmetic purposes.

If you look closely, you already see them in shampoos, serums and other hair care products. With the right oils, making your own hair care products and treatments is easier than ever. It’s affordable, sustainable and if you want hair that you love, it’s the only way to go (in my opinion)!

I’ve tried hundreds of products over the
years, and without a doubt, these are my
top picks!
Hair growth – Lavender, Lemongrass, Basil, Clary Sage, Rosemary, Thyme, Cedarwood, Ylang Ylang, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Lemon, and Peppermint
Hair Thickening – Lavender, Geranium, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, and Rosemary
Oily Hair – Basil, Cypress, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Clary Sage, Peppermint, and Lemon
Flaky Scalp – Clary Sage, Rosemary, Lemon, Juniper Berry, and Patchouli
Dry Hair – Geranium, Sandalwood, Myrrh, Cedarwood, Lavender, and Rosemary
Dry Scalp – Cedarwood, Peppermint, and Spearmint
Hair protectant – Clary Sage and Geranium
How I use oils in my hair…
When using oils on your hair, a few drops goes a long way. Mix oils with your shampoo, conditioner, or leave-in conditioner. You can also mix them with 2 oz of carrier oil and apply to your hair.
When applying oils directly on your head, cover your head in a towel or shower cap. Wash out the treatment after 30 mins and then shampoo.
If you put essential oils directly on your scalp, they may cause irritation. Dilute oils and never use more than the recommended amount. Test oil on a small area of your skin or scalp before doing the entire treatment.
Remember, a drop… or a few, go a long way!
