When our systems are off, it can make every little move miserable. If you or someone you know has ever struggled with this, I want to help you feel good!
Feeling occasional or constant stomach discomfort can be paralyzing and take a lot of magic out of each day. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to find ways to help my family balance our gut health and digestive systems. If you’ve ever searched for solutions, you know it’s not as easy as it seems.

I’ve found a few favorite oils that I want to share with you, and ways that we use them to keep things balanced and feeling good. I hope you’ll find these tips useful for you and your family too.

doTERRA® combined the most efficacious oils for digestive health support into one amazing blend — DigestZen.

Whether used to address acute discomfort or to support overall wellness, the proprietary combination of anise, peppermint, ginger, caraway, coriander, tarragon, and fennel essential oils is the perfect complement to your everyday digestive health.

Not only is it a great support for day-to-day digestive health, there are also some ways it comes in crutch on a regular basis in our household too.
My favorite for the day-to-day help is to add one drop of DigestZen oil to 4 fluid ounces of liquid and drink it with breakfast
It’s also fantastic to rub in a counterclockwise circle around your belly button throughout the day for those days that are harder than others.
Motion sickness — anytime we’re traveling, this blend comes with us. It’s incredibly helpful for road trips.
Relief from occasional bloating and gas and those tight, full, uncomfortable, sluggish feelings.
Holidays, work, vacations, birthdays and family gettogethers, this little blend will help you support your health no matter where you are.
Diffusion: Use one to two drops in the diffuser of your choice
Internal use: Dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid and gargle before swallowing
Topical use: Dilute 1 drop essential oil to 10 drops carrier oil and rub on bottoms of feet
Oregano is a fantastic oil. It’s been found to increase the integrity of the gut wall. This can support your system and help protect toxins from passing into the bloodstream. It also helps reduce inflammation, all things that are key to supporting gut health.
Diffusion: Diffuse Ginger alone or with complementary oils such as Peppermint or Cardamom to help manage feelings of nausea
Internal use: For extra digestive support, add a few drops to any of your favorite drinks or green smoothies
Topical use: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with doTERRA® Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimize any skin sensitivity
Whether you add a few drops to your morning tea or diffuse for a soothing aromatic experience, Ginger makes a great addition to your essential oil toolkit for supporting digestive health.
Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice
Internal use: Dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid (I love adding it to my morning tea)
Topical use: Apply one to two drops to the stomach. Dilute with a carrier oil to minimize any skin sensitivity
Peppermint oil does everything from support feelings of clear breathing to clean surfaces, but its most scientifically researched benefit may be related to its ability to support digestive health.
