Taking a warm bath is my “go-to” when I need to relax. Adding essential oils to the bath water is a great way to add fragrance and tension-relieving properties to the whole experience.

I don’t recommend adding oils directly to your bath water. Oils are difficult to disperse and can cause skin irritations for some people. Mix oils in epsom salt, coconut milk, or other water-dispersible agent before you add it to your bath water for best results.

I make this for the perfect stress-busting bath, and yes! I use it regularly…

●  3 drops Frankincense oil
●  1 drop Vetiver oil

Instructions: Add oils to 1⁄2 – 1 cup of dispersible agent (ie: epsom salt or coconut milk) and stir well. Add mixture to a warm bath water and enjoy!

Vetiver has a sweet, rich, complex aroma that is used extensively in perfumes. Its scent can freshen a room while deodorizing any lingering stale odors, like those that occur after cooking.

It’s properties make it a great oil to drop in your diffuser when the smells in any room just seem a little off, and bonus, it can create a calming mood too.

Vetiver is a member of the grass family. Unlike other grasses, the root system of Vetiver grows down making it ideal for helping to prevent erosion and providing soil stabilization. Due to Vetiver’s calming and grounding aroma, it’s also an ideal oil to use in massage therapy (another great way to relax!).

Vetiver has been known to restore a sense of serenity by diminishing feelings of anger, irritability, panic and restlessness. It can help promote a restful night’s sleep and offer immune support.

It’s also used in many skin products. It can help nourish, hydrate and condition the skin while supporting the growth of new skin. Its regenerative properties have been known to support healing and the lessening of skin ailments.
